Nobody walks into day one of a teacher training believing they are a teacher.
They walk in as a practitioner. Someone who found something on the mat they can't quite explain, and who has started to suspect that the practice is asking for more than an hour of their morning.
Over seventeen years on the 4th floor of the Shangri-La, more than a thousand teachers have trained with us. It is worth saying plainly where they went.
Some teach at studios and fitness centres across Dubai and the UAE. Some lead corporate wellness sessions inside companies — the same offices they used to sit in. Some teach privately and online, to students on three continents, from wherever they happen to be. Some have opened studios of their own, in the UAE, in India, in the UK.
And some never taught a public class at all. They came to understand the practice properly, went back to their own lives, and found that the understanding was the point.
All of those are complete outcomes. None of them is a failure.
Two cohorts open next month. The 13-weekend format begins 12 September, built for people who are keeping their jobs. The 25-day weekday intensive begins 14 September, for those who want to disappear into it completely.
