Sometimes I tell my students: “I don’t teach what they do for myself.” when I teach, I teach needy people. I think it is important for people to have a common base, but also the opportunity to practice in various conditions. Practically, I insist that my future trainers go to Japan, Sweden, other countries - to train with other Shihanis. I want them to learn to read and understand what those Shihans are doing, no matter what style they practice. “
