Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, founded in 1976 by the late President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, has evolved into a modern equestrian hub. Originally hosting private Arabian horse meetings, it transitioned to public racing in 1991. In 1994, it underwent a major upgrade, featuring a new fibreturf racetrack, floodlights, and expanded facilities like air-conditioned stables and a 5,000-seat grands

tand. ADEC hosts international horse racing and equestrian events, including the prestigious Group 1 International Jewel Crown. Seasonal races from November to March draw a global audience, while maintaining close ties with the Abu Dhabi equestrian community enhances its regional influence.
