Classical Pilates Matwork Certification
We are pleased to invite you to our Classical Pilates Matwork Certification The training will take place on 26th and 27th November- 10th & 11th December 2022. The program is designed to empower critical thinking through movement concepts. The Pilates Classical Repertoire will be taught, closely following Joseph Pilates’s base concepts, exercises and philosophies. As all bodies are different, we will also focus on adaptations and modifications to instill resilience and self-awareness. Our program is divided into 2 modules Basic and Advanced between face to face and online teaching.
DATES:
Classical Matwork Basic November: Saturday 26th 11 am-5 pm
Sunday 27th 12:30 pm -6:30 pm
Classical Matwork Advanced December Saturday 10th 11 am-5 pm
Sunday 11th 12:30 pm to 6:30 pm Final Exams Practical & Written.
GOALS: Develop a clear understanding of the Pilates technique, through movement quality concepts. Understand and be able to apply anatomical and myofascial release concepts in order to enhance proprioception. Understand and perform Classical Pilates Repertoire Understand precautions, contraindications and modifications for injury and special populations. Utilize tactile cueing to provide hands-on guidance. Employ neuro-linguistic techniques and imagery to give meaningful and relatable cues. Build confidence trough observation. Practice teaching. Prepare appropriate adaptations with props when needed.
REQUIREMENTS: Students must be at least 18 years old and have taken 5 Mat Pilates classes previously. Previous talk with the lead teacher of the program is recommended.
QUALIFICATIONS: The certification is issued in collaboration with and endorsed by Physical Mind Institute NY, an Institute compelled with renewing Pilates education. The PMI PhysicalMind Institute®️ was established in 1991 to carry on the work of Joseph Pilates. Fees are 5800 AED VAT and Exam Included. Fees per Module 2900 AED Payment options: You can pay for all modules in a one-off transaction. You also have the option to pay for each Module separately. Card or cash payments are accepted. All prices include VAT.

Through her classes she seeks the understanding which implies an intelligent, functional movement and congruence with a whole being, so called, Movement embodiment. Franklin Method Educator Level 1 and undergoing through level 2, at the moment. Reps®️ UAE Comprehensive Pilates Teacher. Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher NCPT®️. Lead Teacher of a Classical Pilates Teacher Training in Abu Dhabi, UAE. She specialises in Neurorehabilitation and Patho-kinesiopathology of the lumbar spine with Polestar Pilates Miami. Classical Pilates certified with Physical Mind Institute in NY and Classical Pilates of Las Vegas, Romana´s lineage. Regarding Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga Chikitsa her favourite, 200 hrs certified, Hatha Vinyasa 200 hrs and Trauma informed Yoga 50 hrs. She taught in Hard Candy from Madonna back in Mexico, Yoga Works in Santa Monica California, among other places.
