I would like to express my thanks to all that made my dream come true and helped me travel to Canada. Sorry for writing so late but wen i came back i had to get ready for school and trying to get my body back into Zim mode has been tough. Our trip to Canada was amazing and I have decided that is where I would like to carry on my basketball career. We spent two week in Canada, our first days we arrived we were climatizing, visiting the other schools and just relaxing. Our first weekend we started training at the different schools Bodwell and Sunderland and playing soccer etc in the park across the road from where we stayed. We played 5 games and only won one game. Our fitness took the best of us as the other teams were must stronger and fitter than us. They were our age group but much bigger than us. We also had a couple of training lessons with other coaches and we learnt some new moves as well. Three of us were selected for the 2017 intake now the decision lies with our school and our parents. We have been invited back for the next tournament in Jan/Feb 2017 and I am sure if we go back we will def win all our games as we know our opponents weaknesses.
Thank you all those people that donated prizes and to all those that supported the fundraisers, There is not enough thanks in this world that i can give right now. No matter how big or small your help was greatly apprecited.
Special thanks must be given to the following people for really being there for myself and my family 24/7.
Taryon R Weier, Raquel Brigetti Stewart, Leroy Green Kunnie, Farhaan Yk Cooper, Brandon Joseph, Haiden Broderick. You guys are the best.
