Throw back to our Runners Sabbath where Mr Wellington Mpofu shared an insightful message in preparation for the inaugural Joshua Nkomo Peace Marathon.

This message carried us then, and how l hope the same message encourages and strengthens all those who will be taking on the Comrades Marathon this weekend !

As Paul wrote in Philippians 3 vs 13-14, “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

May you all forget all things and press towards the mark of that Comrades finishers medal on Sunday 🙏

We are still celebrating these champions from last week’s Petra Founders Half Marathon & Comrades Send-Off!

Through discipline, perseverance, and God’s grace, they have shown that great victories are achieved one step at a time.

The Adventist Athletics Club Bulawayo, in partnership with the City Centre SDA Church Youth, recently took to the streets for a different kind of exercise of community love.

As part of our "Fitness for Witnessing" mission, we joined forces at the soup kitchen to serve the vulnerable in our community and distributed 25 blankets to help them prepare for the winter season.

We are seeking to make a tangible spiritual and social impact in Bulawayo❄️❤️

Great achievements begin with a single step, and extraordinary journeys are sustained through perseverance.

We were honored to attend the Petra Marathon and celebrate our Comrades Marathon runners as they embark on their next challenge.

My brothers and sisters, may you run with endurance the race set before you, keeping your eyes fixed on the finish line where a well-earned medal awaits. More importantly, may we all run this race of life with the same determination and faith, remembering that an eternal crown awaits those who persevere to the end.

We are incredibly honored to host two amazing guest speakers who know exactly what it takes to run the great race of life, the Comrades Marathon Vice Chairperson Nontuthuko Mashimane who will be bringing exclusive insights, inspiration, and a wealth of experience from the world’s greatest ultra-marathon, and Dr Pako from the Southern Africa-Indian Ocean Division (SID) who will deliver a powerful, spirit-filled word to recharge your spiritual batteries and keep you moving forward! 🏁🙌

⏰ Updated Start Times:
21 km Half Marathon: 0615 hrs
10 km Fun Run: 0645 hrs
5 km Color Run: 0730 hrs

Registration forms are now available at the Petra College Accounts department. You can complete your registration and pay your entry fees at the accounts department (Adults $15 | Children under 12 $10).

🎉 Happy Birthday to three of our amazing AAC members! 🎉

What a phenomenal day it was. Today, the AAC family came together to celebrate three incredible milestones the best way we know how—with a birthday run packed with energy, endless joy, and nonstop laughter. 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️✨

From the first kilometer to the final stretch, the vibes were absolutely unmatched. There’s truly nothing better than hit the pavement with a crew that lifts you up, cheers you on, and shares plenty of laughs along the way.
