Mike Jovic Mwendachabe writes✍️
Zambian striker Enock Sakala has been spotted training with Orlando Pirates as the Soweto giants prepare for the new season.
The 23-year-old, who is currently a free agent, has been participating in the club's pre-season training sessions in a bid to impress new head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou.
Sakala's career has been marked by ups and downs since leaving ZESCO United for the Egyptian Premier League.
He has had stints with Modern Sport and Chippa United, but has struggled to find consistency. Despite this, he has shown glimpses of his talent, particularly in his early days with ZESCO United and the Zambian junior national teams.
The young striker made a name for himself in 2022 when he helped Zambia's junior national team win the Cosafa Cup in South Africa.
He also scored 12 league goals in the same season, showcasing his potential.
While Sakala has not yet signed with Orlando Pirates, his presence in their training sessions suggests he is keen to make a good impression.
The club's new coach, Ouaddou, will be looking for players who can make an impact in the upcoming season, and Sakala will be hoping to catch his eye.
It remains to be seen whether Sakala will secure a deal with Orlando Pirates, but one thing is certain - he is determined to get his career back on track. With his talent and determination, he could be a valuable addition to the Pirates squad.
