⚽ SMALL WINS MATTER πŸ’›πŸ”₯

This week was a special one for us at Yame Football School.
Our young player’s training kits are officially here and the excitement said everything.

To some people it may just look like football gear, but to a child, it means so much more.
It creates confidence.

It creates unity.
It creates pride.

And for the first time, many of these young players truly feel part of a team.
Moments like this remind us why we started this journey.

We’re not just building footballers we’re building belief, discipline, friendships, and dreams.

A big thank you to our coaches, management team, and especially the parents for the support and trust you continue to give us every week. πŸ™βš½
Step by step. Session by session. We keep improving.

The dream is big and we’re only getting started. πŸš€

⚽ MASTERING THE BASICS – THE YAME WAY

At Yame Football School, we believe great players are built on strong fundamentals.

That’s why our training focuses on doing the basics over and over again until they become natural.
When a young player no longer has to think about how to control the ball, pass, or move into space, they can focus on the bigger parts of the game decision making, creativity, and teamwork.
This is the foundation of true football development.

⚽ What We Train Every Week
Our sessions are designed to build complete young footballers through structured academy training:

βœ… Ball Mastery & First Touch – Controlling the ball with confidence
βœ… Passing & Receiving – Learning how to move the ball quickly and accurately
βœ… Dribbling & 1v1 Skills – Developing creativity and confidence on the ball
βœ… Small-Sided Games – More touches, better decisions, faster learning
βœ… Game Awareness – Understanding movement, space, and teamwork

Every exercise is designed to help players improve their technical skills, tactical understanding, and confidence on the pitch.

⚽ Our Goal
To help every player develop strong football fundamentals, game intelligence, and a love for the beautiful game.
Because when the basics become natural, the real football begins.

Ice Breaker (Warm-Up Exercise)
Every training session at Yame Football School begins with an ice breaker exercise. This activity sets the tempo for the entire session while helping players transition into training with energy, focus, and excitement.

Our ice breakers are designed around quick thinking, reaction speed, and simple competitive games. They immediately engage the mind and body while encouraging players to communicate, laugh, and work together as a team.

At the end of the challenge, the winner earns the captain’s armband for the day, recognizing effort, focus, and competitiveness. Because the ice breaker is the first activity of the session, players are motivated to arrive early and ready to participate.

Why we use ice-breaker challenges:
β€’ Builds confidence and self-belief
β€’ Improves concentration and reaction speed
β€’ Encourages healthy competition
β€’ Develops leadership qualities
β€’ Strengthens team unity and communication
β€’ Makes training exciting and enjoyable
β€’ Promotes discipline and punctuality
β€’ Safely prepares the body for the rest of the session

At Yame Football School, our goal is to help children love the beautiful game while developing teamwork, discipline, and confidence in a structured environment.

β€œWhere Talent Meets Structure.”

19/05/2026

This training session focused on four key elements of youth football development:

1️⃣ Improving a child’s touch on the ball
2️⃣ Adding intensity in training without pressure
3️⃣ Helping players understand exercises clearly
4️⃣ Keeping the session fun while achieving the training objective

To begin the exercise, we allow the children to move with the ball in their hands. This simple step helps them understand movement, space, and the purpose of the drill before introducing the ball at their feet.

To increase intensity, we turn the drill into a race competition. Children naturally love competition, and this approach keeps them engaged while encouraging focus and effort.

Once they understand the movement pattern, we transition from carrying the ball to controlling it with their feet. Because the children already understand the exercise, the transition becomes easier and their confidence grows.

The competitive element also keeps players motivated everyone wants to improve and perform better in the next round.

Our goal at yame football school is simple:
To help children fall in love with the beautiful game while learning teamwork, discipline, hard work, and healthy competition in a safe and structured environment.

πŸ“’ A Message from Management

We are proud to officially announce the launch of The Dah Sponsorship Program.

This program exists because of one heartfelt moment. When young talent was nearly sidelined due to financial struggle, Lidah kamanga stepped in without hesitation. Her kindness reminded us of what's possible when a community shows up for its players.

Now, The Dah Sponsorship Program turns that one act of generosity into a lasting system of support.

🎯 What we offer:
Sponsorship for committed young footballers who show passion, discipline, and potential but lack financial means.

🎯 Our goal:
To make sure that at Yame Football School, talent never goes unsupported.

We invite individuals and organizations to sponsor a young athlete and become part of building the next generation of football talent.

πŸ“© If your organization believes in youth development through football, reach out to us. Let's partner for impact.

From all of us in management thank you for believing in the vision.
