Shoshin (初心)
is a Japanese word that means "beginner's mind." It's a concept from Zen Buddhism and martial arts that encourages approaching life, learning, and practice with an open, eager, and unbiased attitude—just like a beginner, even when you're already experienced.
In martial arts like Karate and Aikijujitsu, Shoshin is about staying humble, always ready to learn more, and not letting ego or routine block growth.
It's a powerful mindset for training, business, and life in general.
“In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities,
in the expert’s mind there are few.”
– Shunryu Suzuki
Always train. Always grow. Stay humble.
