The days of expensive contracts are fully behind us…

Chelsea’s average wage bill under Roman Abramovich is £200,000 a week. The average wage bill under Clearlake is around £60,000 a week with incentives for performance and team achievements.

The new structure has seen us miss out on players like Olise, Nico Williams and possibly Victor Osimhen. The club are adamant on keeping the structure in check, which is commendable really but shows we will have to build our own world class talents.

In that case our scouting has to be on point and we need to land more players like the Cole Palmers, Gustos of this world.
