The Copper Queens continue to build momentum in Mohammédia ahead of the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2024 (to be played in 2025), which kicks off in eight days.
The Copper Queens have been fine-tuning all aspects of their game, and the spotlight has recently turned to the goalkeepers, where goalkeeper coach Simon Kangwa put Ngambo Musole, Mwila Mufunte and Catherine Musonda through their paces in high-intensity drills at Lanoria Club.
Meanwhile, outfield players continued tactical sessions with coach Nora Häuptle and the rest of the technical team ahead of next Saturday’s Group A opener against the Atlas Lionesses at the Olympic stadium.
The Copper Queens will follow their Morocco opener with two more Group A matches against Senegal on 9 July at El Bachir Stadium in Mohammedia, and DR Congo at the same venue on 12 July.
