Coronation Dam update:
• Total (so far): 30 Carps
• Biggest : 15.12kg
The last 2 weeks we targeted one of the most feard dams in Krugersdorp, Coronation, with people fishing there for years and still blanking, locked and loaded with "The Option" and "Oceano Krill" from RiCh International , we had one thing on our mind!!
With only day sessions we started our 1st session like any other session, LOCATION was key, we grabbed our marker rods and started feeling spots for hours, after we found our spots we saw we were fishing between 30 and 35 wraps on all our spots.
It was time to introduce our bait to our spot, we decided to go with a boilie approach only, the reason for that would be because of pre-spawn. We introduced only 5 spombs per spot. We did that each time when we started our sessions.
Our rods was clip up and ready with our hookbaits and a small pva string.
After a couple off cast we were perfectly on the spots, with a lot of confidence in our rigs it was a just a matter of time.
This first couple of days was a bit slow only landing one or two carps a day with the average weight being around 8.7kg.
Then the chaos started getting 2x Triple ups and 1 double the next day.
We helped 2 guys to break there PB's,
Keanu from a 6kg to 10.45kg and Jandre from a 6.6kg to a massive 13.6kg. Huge congrats to you boys.
We continue to smash carp, landing 30 carps with some mega carps 11kg, 12.8kg, 13.6kg and Aidan smashing a 15.12kg. The rest was all smaller between 8kg and 10kg.
We are still on the look out for that magical 40lb in coronation.
