Good day all you River Rats

Ready for that fun day out on the water?

This event we doing a Halloween dress up 🎃 👻
So get those costumes ready and dress up your boat cause it’s going no to be a big one 🙌

We urge all skippers to make sure they have their paperwork in order and on the boat. here is a checklist below:

1. Skippers license.
2. COF certificate.
3. Buoyancy certificate.
4. All safety equipment on the boat as required by SAMSA, this should be there if you have a COF certificate.
5. NO CHILD TO BE WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION OR A LIFE JACKET.
6. All skippers are responsible for their boat, their actions and their people aboard. VRRSA are NOT responsible for any boat and the people aboard.
7. No alcohol to be sold or distributed.
We will assist the Waterwing police by monitoring and reporting any boat who misbehaves or are there illegally.

- NO GLASS BOTTLES.
- TRASH IN YOUR BOAT.

This Sunday something new opens on the river.

The Palace Market throws its gates open at the.river_palace for the very first time on Sunday, 13 September. Featuriing stalls of craft, deli, dessert and food, set right on the water, with the kind of afternoon that doesn’t need much of a plan beyond turning up.

And it’s not a once-off. This is the start of a monthly Sunday tradition on the Vaal, running every second Sunday from here on.
