If you know me you know I love the 13 Peaks Challenge.
It remains in my opinion one of the best ways to experience our beautiful Cape Town.
Experiencing this wonderful city and its surrounding beauty from above and seeing how and where all the suburbs and trails, etc connect is priceless.

Earlier this month I had the privilege to complete my 20th 13 Peaks when I took the crew from Ordinarily Active - Be the Change all the way from Ballito which included great friends Angela Panagiotopoulos and Absolute Legends owner and coach Minette Van Zyl on an epic 4 day adventure of this route.

Starting Day One at Signal Hill and following in order: Lion's Head, Mclear's Beacon, Grootkop, and Judas Peak all the way to our finish for the day at Suikerbossie Restaurant in Houtbay.

This is the hardest day. Peaks are close together and there is a lot of climbing including the humbling Platteklip Gorge.

But get through days one and two and things start to get a lot easier.

We offer this route as a sub 48 (2 Day) trail run or Multi Day hike over 4 or 6 segments.

Lion's Head Sunset Hike with Thómas and friends all the way from Brazil.

Originally planned for the Sunday but moved to Monday to accomodate an epic Cable car ride up Table Mountain before they closed for maintenance.

The wind offered some resistance and it made things a little chilly but the views were worth it.

We tucked into a nice South African style platter while the sun set and the full moon rose all in one go.
