DZJ MASTERS WALLOP MULATI MASTERS 4–1

DZJ Masters delivered a dominant performance with a 4–1 victory over Mulati Masters today at Nkowankowa Stadium.

The breakthrough came in the first half through an own goal by a Mulati defender, giving DZJ an early lead. In the second half, substitute Ephraim “Pepe” Chauke made an immediate impact, coming off the bench to score a brilliant brace. Godfrey “Gora” Mosh*twa added the fourth goal with a well-taken header to seal the emphatic win.

The victory marks DZJ’s third consecutive win, following strong performances against Julesburg (6–2) and Burgersdorp (4–2).

Since the resumption of the 2025/2026 season, DZJ has been in fine form, recording wins over Relela (3–0), Khujwana (2–1), and Nwamitwa (10–1), along with a 2–2 draw against Matlule. Their only setback was a 3–1 loss to KCE.

DZJ MASTERS WALL0P BURGERSDORP 4-2 AWAY

DZJ Masters delivered a dominant performance on the road, defeating Burgersdorp Masters 4-2 in front of their home supporters despite missing numerous clear scoring opportunities.

Burgersdorp got off to a flying start, opening the scoring early in the first half after a defensive lapse allowed pacey winger Kanego Mather to go one-on-one with the goalkeeper and finish calmly.

DZJ responded swiftly, with last season’s top goalscorer Justice Rasebotsa finding the back of the net to level matters. The goal marked his 16th of the campaign, as the sides went into halftime locked at 1-1.

The second half saw DZJ take full control of the match. They came out with intent and were rewarded with three well-taken goals from Oscar “Rio” Mokgalaka, Ephraim”Pepe” Chauke, and Tsietsi Malatji. Burgersdorp managed to pull one back through Ndzalama Tiba, but it was not enough to stop the visitors’ momentum.

The victory sees DZJ move to 28 points, maintaining their position at number six on the 12-team log. The team is in red-hot form, having scored an impressive 25 goals in their last five league matches. They also now boast three players in the league’s top 10 goal scorers.

Notably, the win came despite the absence of key players including Frank, Gorah, Khongelani, and Kabelo, underlining the squad’s depth and determination.

Khongelani continued his fine form in the second half, completing his four-goal haul, while Justice added his second of the day to make it six for DZJ. However, defensive lapses at 5-0 allowed Julesburg to score twice within two minutes.

DZJ MASTERS SHARE SPOILS WITH MATLULE

DZJ Masters played to a 2–2 all-draw against Matlule Masters away at Muhlava Sports Ground.

Matlule took an early lead in the match, but Justice Rasebotsa equalised soon after. The teams went into the halftime break level at 1–1.

After the restart, Khongelani Maluleke gave DZJ Masters the lead with a low-driven shot after Matlule failed to clear the ball inside the box. Matlule responded with a powerful low long-range effort to make it 2–2.

The poor pitch conditions, littered with rocks, prevented DZJ from playing their usual passing and wing-play football.

Following the draw, DZJ Masters move to 22 points and remain in sixth position on the 12-team log, level on points with Mulati but ahead on goal difference. Justice Rasebotsa has now scored 13 league goals this season, while Khongelani Maluleke has eight.

DZJ Masters will next face Julesburg at Nkowankowa Stadium in a must-win encounter.

DZJ MASTERS RUN RIOT IN 10–1 AWAY THRASHING OF N’WAMITWA MASTERS

DZJ Masters delivered a ruthless performance on the road, walloping struggling N’wamitwa Masters 10–1 at Hungry Tigers ground in Nwajaheni Village.

The visitors were in devastating form from the first whistle, with Justice Rasebotsa leading the charge by scoring four goals. Ephraim “Pepe” Chauke was equally impressive, bagging a hat-trick, while Tsietsi Malatji and Khongelani Maluleke added one goal each.

An unfortunate own goal by Mabunda, who also scored N’wamitwa Masters’ solitary consolation goal, completed DZJ’s double-digit tally.

The emphatic victory means DZJ Masters have now won their last three league matches, collecting a maximum 9 points and scoring 15 goals in the process—clear evidence of a side gaining momentum at the right time.

Individually, the goals have boosted key tallies:
• Justice Rasebotsa: 12 goals this season
• Khongelani Maluleke: 7 goals
• Ephraim “Pepe” Chauke: 6 goals

After 14 games, DZJ Masters remain 6th on the log with 21 points, having recorded:
• 6 wins
• 3 draws
• 5 losses

The performance is even more remarkable considering the challenges faced earlier in the season. DZJ underwent a major rebuild after losing 11 players at the start of the campaign. The team was further hit by injuries, losing a key defender to a broken hand and their first-choice goalkeeper to a hip operation.

In response, the club has strengthened its squad by signing:
• 1 goalkeeper
• 1 central defender
• 2 central midfielders
• 1 winger

The depth and balance now evident on the pitch suggest the rebuilding process is beginning to bear fruit, with DZJ Masters looking well-placed to push further up the log if their current form continues.

New signing Rivalani “Mahoa” Seweya opened the scoring in the first half, giving DZJ a deserved lead. Khongelani Maluleke doubled the advantage in the second half, further strengthening DZJ’s control of the match.

Khujwana Masters were given a lifeline late in the game through a last-minute penalty, but it proved too little, too late, as DZJ held on for the win.

The result sees DZJ move up to sixth position on the league log. This victory also completes a league double over Khujwana Masters, following DZJ’s 1–0 win in the first-leg encounter at home.
