π JUNE IS LIPEDEMA AWARENESS MONTH π
As a coach and studio owner living with Lipedema, this month is very personal to me.
Every day, I stand in front of my classes encouraging others to move, stay positive, and never give up. What many people don't see is the battle I fight behind the scenes.
Living with Lipedema is not just about having larger legs or arms. It is a chronic condition that affects every aspect of your life.
It means living with pain.
It means living with heaviness.
It means swelling, inflammation, tenderness, and fatigue.
It means bruising easily and feeling uncomfortable in your own body.
It means waking up tired and going to bed exhausted.
As a coach, there are days when my legs feel like they weigh a ton.
There are days when every step hurts.
There are days when my body is screaming for rest, yet I still have a class to teach, members to motivate, and a studio to run.
People often see me smiling, coaching, and bouncing on a rebounder, but they don't always see the pain I push through to be there.
They don't see the compression garments.
They don't see the self-management.
They don't see the tears, frustration, and emotional struggles that can come with this condition.
One of the hardest parts of Lipedema is that many people don't understand it.
You can eat healthy.
You can exercise consistently.
You can do everything right.
Yet the affected areas often don't respond the way people expect them to.
The judgment can be painful.
The comments can be hurtful.
And the feeling of constantly having to explain yourself can be exhausting.
But despite all of this, Lipedema has taught me resilience.
It has taught me compassion.
It has taught me that strength is not measured by the size of your body, but by your ability to keep going when life becomes difficult.
Because every day I choose to show up.
For myself.
For my family.
For my studio.
For every woman who walks through my doors feeling defeated, misunderstood, or alone.
I want every woman living with Lipedema to know:
π You are not lazy.
π You are not weak.
π You are not imagining your pain.
π Your struggles are valid.
π And you are stronger than you realize.
This June, let's raise awareness, educate others, and support those living with Lipedema.
Together we can replace judgment with understanding, frustration with hope, and isolation with community.
Keep moving.
Keep fighting.
Keep believing.
Your journey may be difficult, but you are stronger than your struggles.
π Lipedema Warrior.
π Coach.
π Studio Owner.
π Still Showing Up Every Day.
