I'm a moments person. I thrive in the process, the ex*****on, the flow, the experiences.
I appreciate small intentional gestures. Something that makes me realize a person knows me well enough to know this very significant thing means something to me.

I'm not into trends and cherish authenticity. I value intimate and real relationships and will walk the extra mile or 10 for those who keep showing up.

Thank you Mix It Up Online Team for continuing to show up 5 years down the line and for making my day extra special💪🏋️

Mix It Up may not be what it once was. I don't have a sudio space anymore and have been navigating a changing industry and life circumstances for the last 5 years.

But, I am constantly reminded of how the smallest act can have the biggest impact. How consistency and sustainability wins intensity and how a few willing souls, drowns out the crowds.

Thank you for your support and willingness to keep moving with me through life's ups and downs.

The more I work with older adults, the more I am convinced that movement is the fundamentals of quality of life. I can have two PT clients, both 68 years old. The one kept herself fit with running and cycling and now strength training and the other did not prioritize movement and the difference in health/capabilities and even mindset, is tremendous.

Movement also facilitates mental growth. Your capacity to overcome hardships, to learn a new skill, to get out of your comfort zone. Those shifts don't happen if you don't work at it. So please, keep moving. Stay curious. Do something that scares you every now and again.

It does not have to be glamorous to outside world, but a small step in the right direction repeated over time, will have the biggest impact on your life.

You can do it. Keep moving!

It started out as a simple idea. Train a small group of people online. Those that don't have , or sometimes don't want to get involved with the big groups.
They want to keep it simple.
Just like me😅💪
So this is an appreciation post, shoutout, whatever you want to call it for the guys and girls who have been there through thick and thin.
In today's EVER changing, hustling, chaotic world - I crave the simple and authentic constants more and more.
And find myself being really grateful for simple and sometimes even mundane.
So thank you Mix It up Online peeps.
We keep it simple and fun.

On your journey you will encounter moments of great disappointments, disorder, changes and shifts...

During lockdown 2020 when I created Mix It Up online group, I never would have imagined how this little group would turn into such a blessing. A constant through really hard seasons.

But, I'm once again in awe and grateful for what MIU has morphed into. It did not come from me, but it was opened up for me.
All I had to do was trust and initially hustle😅.....so much hustle.

This little group that meet online most Tuesdays and Fridays 6h05 am and sweat it out in kitchens, living rooms, garages, surrounded by dogs and washing and dirty dishes...

Words that pop up to describe it now is:
*Sustainable
*Supportive
*Constant
*Enough
*Real
*Down to earth
*Humble
*Small community
*Grace

And these words by really made my day:

"Die beste van alles, toe ek trek kon ek hierdie hele groepie inpak en saam vat.

Mens raak besig met baie dinge, hierdie gee my daai consistency waarna ek altyd kan terug kom na."
