3. 3-4 hours on the trail
4. Guided by 2 experienced instructors every step of the way

Avoid getting stranded on the side of the road! Is your vehicle ready for your long trip lined up this festive season?

Some 4x4 checks before heading off:

1. Basic service (engine oil, oil filter, fuel filter and air filter)

2. Fluid levels (coolant, brake and power steering)

3. Tyre pressure and tyre condition (good idea to do wheel alignment and balancing before you leave)

4. Vehicle lights

5. Battery condition and terminals

6. Check brakes and adjust your handbrake

7. Regresse wheel bearings, ball joints and universal joints (especially if you've been playing in water the last few months)

8. Check shocks for any oil leaks

9. Check or replace belts

10. Clean out your radiator for any grass seeds/ mud

11. Check your 4x4 system is working

12. Run through your emergency equipment

13. Run through your vehicle spares and tools

14. Dont forget your first aid kit

15. Lasty your recovery gear is a must have
