I once heard someone say they do squats so they can still get on and off the toilet independently when they are older.
That stuck with me.
Because that is what training should really be about.
Not just six packs.
Not just shrinking yourself.
Not just chasing a “summer body”.
It should help you live your life better.
You should train so you can:
✔ Carry your own shopping bags
✔ Climb stairs without getting out of breath
✔ Pick up your grandchildren one day
✔ Travel without struggling
✔ Get up off the floor confidently
✔ Stay independent for as long as possible
That is the real goal.
Fitness does not need to consume your life. It should support the life you want to live.
That is what Stronger Not Older means to me.
