Saturdayโ€™s Gala was something very special.

Not simply a competition.
Not simply another performance.

It was a celebration of young, emerging talent โ€” dancers who have worked, grown, challenged themselves and earned their opportunity to stand on that stage.

The Gala is by invitation only, with dancers achieving ๐Ÿด๐Ÿฑ ๐—ผ๐—ฟ ๐—ต๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐——.๐—”.๐—ก.๐—–.๐—˜. ๐—œ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—”๐˜„๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฑ๐˜€ ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐—๐˜‚๐—ป๐—ฒ earning their invitation.

And what a privilege it is to watch these young dancers step forward.

For many, it is also a wonderful opportunity to perform under pressure, experience a beautiful showcase environment and get a little more stage experience before ADA.

But perhaps most importantly, Saturday was about celebrating achievement.

And receiving your ๐——.๐—”.๐—ก.๐—–.๐—˜. ๐—œ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—™๐—ฒ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ก๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—–๐—ผ๐—น๐—ผ๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐˜€ is an achievement worth celebrating. ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆโœจ

To every dancer who performed on Saturday:

You were brave.
You were beautiful.

Your body isn't the only thing you need to prepare for competition.

Prepare your mind too.

Visualise yourself walking onto the stage.

Imagine hearing your music.

Think about how you want to feel.

Practise staying calm when the nerves arrive.

And remember:

Nerves don't mean you're not ready.

They mean you care.

Don't fight the butterflies.

Let them fly with you. ๐Ÿฆ‹โœจ

Smile.

Trust yourself.

Stop looking sideways.

There will always be another dancer who can turn faster.

Someone who is more flexible.

Someone who has more experience.

Someone who seems more confident.

But none of them are you.

Your job isn't to become someone else.

Your job is to walk onto that stage as the best version of yourself.

Focus on your training.

Your progress.

Your performance.

Your journey.
