8 schools already involved. Some of our U/9 players already nearing the 50 game marc. That is experience you simply wont gain from the nets!!!!!

We are excited to announce that our new Junior League will start on the first weekend of July 2026.

The league is open to Under 8 and Under 9 players. Although it originally started as a school-based format, anyone can enter and all players are welcome.

The season will run similar to a normal LMS season, depending on the number of entries. We already have around 8 teams interested and are aiming for a 12-team league played across two venues every Sunday.

Current venues (subject to availability):
• Glenstantia
• Laerskool Wonderboom
• Bruncslich Park
• Edeplex (when not used for the normal league)

We will also have playoff games and the Gold Finals taking place this Sunday at Bruncslich Park if you would like to bring your child to come and see what it is all about.

Players of all skill levels are welcome. Our main goal is to include and involve every child who wants to play cricket, so there will be no auctions, drafts, trials or special selections.

Its Juniors finals weekend. Its going to be a cracker, with nothing separating these two team throughout the league phase. Will we be crowning a new champion or will Bommies go back to back. Only time will tell.

Dramatic finish to a very tightly contested Semi final vs Wolwe U/9. The Wolwe put up a huge fight and came so close to eliminating the top of the log Bomb Squad Juniors. However, it came down to one big moment. One brilliant throw from the boundary by Ben Lonte and a great gather and flick on to the stumps by Wihan Janse van Vuuren.

What a day out for the Juniors. Double header Sunday with mixed bag of emotions.
Loosing their first game of the season in game 1 against an resurgent Super Strikers team. Handré stepping up and making his first ever 50 with an unbelievable knock, falling just 2 runs short of what would have been a remarkable chase.
Game 2 the boys bounced back with a great batting, bowling and fielding performance. Wihan with yet another 50, which consisted of 10 boundaries and Ben Lonte with a 3 wicket haul. Great stuff Bommies!!!!!!

Standout Performances:
Juniors - Wihan Janse van Vuuren scoring his Maiden half century. His 77 not out included 11 boundaries and 1 maximum. Great innings young man.
Ben Lonte also taking 3 wickets, conceding only 10 Runs.

Sunday 1 Feb was a good day for Bomb Squad, but a great day for the “van Vuurens”. Johan Janse Van Vuuren having a good day with the bat at the seniors, and his 2 boys having a great day at the Juniors. Handre taking 3 wickets. Wihan having a break at his usual wicket keeper position had a dream day with the ball, 4 overs only conceding 4 runs.
Francois Visagie also picking up a 3 wicket haul at the senior team.
