From Red and Black to Green and Gold 🇿🇦🇺🇸
NMB Water Polo is incredibly proud to celebrate Lucy Nagel and Kim Kabiri, whose journeys have taken them from representing NMB ❤️🖤in red and black to earning SA Schools selection and competing at university level in the United States.
Kim Kabiri has begun her second year at Concordia University Irvine, with Lucy joining her as a first-year student. To see two NMB players reunited on the other side of the world is a very special moment for our water polo community.
Fittingly, the Concordia Golden Eagles also compete in green and gold, 💚💛the same colours Lucy and Kim wore while representing South Africa. Their journey from red and black to green and gold has now come full circle.
Their achievements are a wonderful example of the direction in which South African water polo is moving. Stronger development pathways are creating opportunities for young people to grow within the sport, whether as players, coaches, referees or officials.
Congratulations, Kim, on everything you achieved during your first year, and congratulations to Lucy as she begins this exciting new chapter. We are immensely proud of you both and look forward to following your journey with the Concordia Golden Eagles. 🦅🤽♀️
