A huge congratulations to Clayton Thom Shihan and Erwee Tiran Sensei from the Eastern Cape on their selection as National Coaches for the upcoming UFAK Championship in Algeria!

This is a fantastic achievement and a proud moment for the Eastern Cape Karate community. Your selection is a reflection of your dedication, knowledge, experience and commitment to developing athletes and growing the sport.

Representing South Africa as part of the national coaching team is a tremendous honour, and we have no doubt that you will make the Eastern Cape proud while supporting and guiding our athletes on the international stage.

We would also like to thank the National Federation and selectors for placing their trust and confidence in Clayton and Erwee and giving them the opportunity to serve South African Karate in this important role.

We wish you both, and the entire South African team, the very best for the UFAK Championship in Algeria.

A special mention goes to Lemuel Kramer, who, despite an injury during Friday’s kumite bout, returned the next day to complete his judging duties at the KSA League One Tournament.

His dedication and commitment to the sport deserve recognition.

Congratulations to the Eastern Cape athletes on a fantastic two days of karate!

With over 700 entries and many first-time competitors, everyone performed exceptionally well. Keep up the great work and momentum!

The Eastern Cape also secured the top spot in the Development Divisions and a commendable second place in the Elite divisions.

Nelson Mandela Bay will host the KSA League One and National Women’s Cup at the Kariega Indoor Sports Centre, drawing karate athletes from across South Africa for three days of competition in various categories.

Congratulations to our Eastern Cape Karate Team that will be representing Eastern Cape Karate at the upcoming Karate South Africa League One Event.

Please note: This does not mean other athletes are not allowed to enter. Those in the team who compete in League One event as well as any other Eastern Cape Member who Medals at the event will qualify for Provincial Colours!
