The shot is over… but the most important part is just beginning.

Step 11 – Follow Through & Reflect – is where real growth happens. After the arrow leaves the bow, we pause and ask: How did that feel? What did I see? What can I learn?

A missed shot can easily create a negative thought pattern if we dwell on the mistake. But Philippians 4:8 gives us a better way: “Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable… think about such things.”

Reflection isn’t just about the shot — it’s about choosing thoughts that build confidence and character.

You can aim forever… but nothing happens until you let go.

Steps 9 and 10 in archery are the moment of truth: the release. You can line up your sights perfectly and hold the draw all day, but if your fingers never open, the arrow never flies. Holding on too long doesn’t show control — it often shows fear.

Faith works the exact same way. The preparation matters, but the release is what changes everything. At some point you have to trust, open your hand, and let the arrow fly.
