🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️ SSA NATIONAL RANKINGS 2026 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️

Today, we celebrate the achievements of our Piet Retief Aquatics swimmers in the Swimming South Africa National Rankings for the 2025/26 season.

These rankings reflect countless hours of training, dedication, commitment, perseverance and a genuine love for the sport. Every ranking earned is the result of swimmers consistently showing up, working hard and striving to become better each day.

This season saw several outstanding performances, including Top 20, Top 50 and numerous Top 100 national rankings. These achievements are a testament to what can be accomplished through determination, discipline and a positive attitude.

As coach, I would like to thank every swimmer for their effort and commitment throughout the season. Watching your growth, both in and out of the pool, has been a privilege. The rankings are impressive, but the character, sportsmanship and resilience you have shown along the way make me even prouder.

To our younger swimmers and those who are considering competing in more galas next season: these rankings show what is possible. Every swimmer featured here started with a single race, a single gala, and a willingness to challenge themselves. Your journey could be next.

We are incredibly proud of Bianke and Danté for representing our club at the SA Schools Swimming Championship (24–27 April 2026). Competing at this level is no small achievement, and both of them stepped up with determination and heart. It has been special to watch their progress in the pool, and these results are a true reflection of the hard work they put in every day. Well done, Bianke and Danté — you’ve made us proud.

You guys did really well at the Level 2 Regional Championships in Germiston (29 March – 1 April). I’m proud of how you handled yourselves in the pool and how you gave it your best in every race.

It was also just really nice to see you enjoying the gala and having fun together as a team — that matters just as much as the times.

Keep working hard. We’re looking forward to the next season! 💪✨

Well done, Mia. What a beautiful way to end your season.

Everyone sees the medals hanging proudly around your neck. We see the long hours in the pool when you still had homework waiting and responsibilities calling your name. We saw the choice you made, over and over again, to show up.

This was your very first year of competing in galas. You stepped onto the blocks with courage, not knowing exactly what to expect — and you never once backed down. Every gala was not just a race, but a lesson. An opportunity. A chance to grow. And grow you did.

Personal best after personal best. Quiet progress. Steady determination. A swimmer who refused to stay the same.

Great achievements are built on sacrifice, and you have given so much of yourself this season. But the reward? It shines in your confidence, your resilience, and the way you now belong in that racing lane.

We are incredibly proud of you, Mia. Not only for what you won, but for who you are becoming. The journey has only just begun, and we cannot wait to see what next season holds for you.
