Celebrating the 5th Anniversary of Katlego Mthembu Games U13 RE BAPALA MMOHO development tournament❗️

We are thrilled to mark the 5th anniversary of the Katlego Mthembu Games U13 Re Bapala Mmoho development tournament, a remarkable journey celebrating youth football in the Tumahole community of Parys, Free State.

The tournament is named after its visionary founder, Katlego Mthembu, a proud son of the Tumahole community with a lifelong passion for sports. Since childhood, Katlego has been dedicated to nurturing young talent and fostering a love for football among the youth.

His mission has always been clear:To help young footballers realize their dreams of becoming professional athletes.To unite communities through the power of sport.To educate players not only in football skills but also in values and teamwork.To provide a platform where young talents can showcase their skills and gain exposure.

The tournament’s theme, "Re Bapala Mmoho, translates to "We Play Together." This powerful message embodies the spirit of unity and collaboration, emphasizing the importance of bringing youth together to uplift communities across South Africa through football.

Since its inception in 2022, the tournament started modestly with just 8 participating teams. Over the years, it has grown steadily, doubling to 16 teams, and this year, in celebration of its 5th anniversary, the tournament proudly plans to host 32 teams.

This growth reflects the increasing enthusiasm and support from the community and beyond, highlighting the tournament’s role as a vital platform for youth development and community engagement.

As we celebrate this milestone, we remain committed to our founding principles and look forward to many more years of inspiring young athletes, fostering community spirit, and promoting the beautiful game of football.

On behalf of Katlego Mthembu Games U13-Re Bapala Mmoho!

We stand with the families of Mofokeng, Setsoamong,and Mopedi in mourning the tragic loss of their children in a car accident that occurred early this past weekend.

We also extend our deepest condolences to the friends, teammates and the entire Tumahole community.

We urge you all to stay strong and United during these difficult times.

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the families of the Bundle of Joys from Vaal, who tragically lost their lives yesterday in a taxi crash in Vanderbijlpark while on their way to school.

Our hearts are heavy with sorrow, and we stand with the affected families during this incredibly difficult time. May you find strength, comfort, and peace in the midst of this profound loss.

We mourn with you and offer our sincere prayers and support.
