📣 PLAYER RECRUITMENT – 2026/27 SEASON 📣

Fauldhouse United Sundays are now looking to strengthen our squad ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Last season was our first competitive year together — and what a year it was:

🥉 3rd place finish – Promotion to the Premier Division
🏆 Scottish Cup Semi Finalists – narrowly losing on penalties

As debut seasons go, it couldn’t have gone much better. But football moves fast — players retire, move on, and we’re proud to see 3 of our lads step into the East of Scotland set-up, continuing their football journey.

That’s what we’re about — developing players and helping them progress.

We are now recruiting players in all positions.
If you’re looking for a new challenge and want to be part of a driven, ambitious group that pushes each other both on and off the pitch — we want to hear from you.

As we close the curtain on our first ever season together, we finished it the best way possible — celebrating with our Player of the Year Awards after what has honestly been an unbelievable journey.

From starting out as basically a 5-a-side team, to Scottish Cup semi finalists and earning promotion straight into the Premier Division… what these lads have achieved together has been incredible.

Every single person connected to this team has played their part in that journey, on and off the park. ❤️🖤⚽️

Match Report ⚽️
Whitburn vs Fauldhouse United Sundays

We turned up today absolutely raring to go after two free weeks without a game, and what better way to return than with a local derby. Due to the SPL and Celtic match we were down to the bare bones, with 11 fit lads and no bench, but there were no excuses from us. Every single player was ready to go to war for each other. ❤️🖤

We started the game brilliantly and went right after Whitburn from the first whistle. Our pressure paid off within 10 minutes when Luke Matheson fired a brilliant finish into the bottom corner to make it 1-0.

However, our joy quickly turned to adversity as captain McKee was shown a red card on 17 minutes. Despite going down to 10 men, the lads never let it phase them. We continued to play some really good football and actually started to dominate large spells of the game, but failed to make our chances count before half time as we went in leading 1-0.

Second Half ⚽️

At half time the message was simple — stay calm, keep believing and more chances would come if we stuck to what we were doing. Whitburn came out fighting though and grabbed an early equaliser, quickly followed by a second goal to take control for a 10 minute spell.

But this team never knows when it’s beaten. The 10 men kept digging deep, fighting for every ball and showing unbelievable character. Luke Matheson turned provider this time with a great assist for Josh Peary, who calmly slotted home the equaliser.

We pushed hard for a winner in the closing stages, but the final whistle went with the points shared.

Massive credit to every single player today. To play the majority of the game with 10 men and still battle the way we did says everything about this squad.

Our penultimate game of the season is upon us as we travel to King George’s this Sunday to take on Whitburn in the league.

What a season it’s been for this group already — promotion secured, a Scottish Cup semi-final. One more big push from the lads before we close out the campaign.❤️🖤⚽️
