DO YOU KNOW HOW AUTHENTIC YOU ARE ACCROSS ALL YOUR LIFE AREAS?

You know that feeling of being a little off, but you can't quite say where? That's usually not a mood, it's a signal.

Most of us carry a vague sense of being out of alignment without pinpointing the source. A structured self-assessment replaces "something feels off" with a precise, measurable picture. Rate your overall authenticity first, then break life into 8 areas: career, health, finances, family, relationships, growth, social life, and environment.

Score each area from 1 to 10, where 10 means fully living in line with your true self, whatever your circumstances, whether that's a career around a disability, raising a family, or relationships that don't always understand your reality. Compare each score to your baseline. Your two lowest-scoring areas are where inauthenticity is hitting hardest, and where to focus first.

Which area would score lowest for you right now?

Reclaiming your voice isn't about being louder, it's about being honest with yourself first.

People-pleasing, masking, self-abandonment: they're not character flaws, they're learned survival strategies. Somewhere along the way you learned it was safer to prioritise everyone else's comfort over your own needs, hide your real opinions, and override what you actually wanted.

It doesn't matter whether that pattern started because of your body, your diagnosis, your workplace, or your relationships. What matters is this: which of these three patterns shows up most for you right now? Name the fear underneath it, usually conflict or rejection, then choose one small, safe act where you honour your own need instead of overriding it.

Which one is your pattern: people-pleasing, masking, or self-abandonment?

"Help" sounds like a kind word. But sometimes it's the very thing that keeps someone stuck.

I'm a life coach who empower people who feel unfulfilled, and also people with physical disabilities and the parents, significant others, and caregivers who support them to create their personal holistic blueprint for a happy, thriving life

One thing I've learned: there's a fine line between helping someone and holding them back.

Growing up as a person with spina bifida, I climbed stairs, carrying my own backpack full of books, walked myself home from school, and wasnt allowed to use my disability as an excuse. Outsiders sometimes thought it was cruel. But, what it gave me instead was something far more valuable, the space to become independent.

Whether you're raising a child with special needs, managing someone with a disability at work, or want to run a business as part of your personal road to happiness: are you giving people help, or empowerment?

One creates dependence, the other creates capability.

Which one are you giving?

Have you ever caught yourself talking faster, answering before you've even thought it through, or feeling a low-grade tension you can't quite name? ๐Ÿค” That's not just nerves โ€” that's often your false self taking over.

Most of us have been performing a version of ourselves for so long that we've genuinely forgotten there's a difference between who we are and who we've built ourselves to be. Your false self shows up to gain approval, avoid rejection, or meet other people's expectations. Your true self shows up when nobody's judging โ€” genuine curiosity, honest emotion, opinions that are actually yours.

The good news? Both leave clues. Physical, emotional, and behavioural signals that tell you exactly which version is in the driver's seat at any given moment.

This week, notice one moment your voice speeds up or your chest tightens โ€” and one moment you feel curious, calm, and completely yourself. โœจ

Ever caught someone staring and had to decide, in half a second, whether to ignore it, explain it, or joke about it?

I live with spina bifida and hydrocephalus, and using crutches, being stared at in public is a given. However a lot of people may not realy mean to be rude, they're just curious. Most people never had to think twice how to move from point A to point B so when they finally see it done differently, of course they will look.

The question is not whether people will stare, they will. The real question is what you do in that moment: educate, ignore, or have a little fun with it.

In this video I share how I've learned to handle the stares without losing my humour, or my patience - ok, maybe sometimes. ๐Ÿ˜œ

What do you usually do when you catch someone staring at you?

Before you can live authentically, you have to see the water you've been swimming in. The invisible rules from your family, culture, gender, religion, and career have been shaping your identity your whole life โ€” often without your consent, and definitely without your awareness.

Things like "be the responsible one," "don't make waves," "put others first," "fit in." They feel like personal beliefs. Most of them are actually borrowed blueprints.

Here's the shift: you can't choose your authentic self until you can clearly see which parts of your current self were chosen by someone else.
This week, pick one "rule" you live by and ask: is this genuinely mine, or did I just inherit it? โœจ

How many of your "core beliefs" did you actually choose โ€” and how many were just handed to you? ๐Ÿค”

Before you can live authentically, you have to see the water you've been swimming in so to speak. The invisible rules from your family, culture, gender, religion, and career have been shaping your identity your whole life โ€” often without your consent, and definitely without your awareness

๐—ค๐˜‚๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ธ ๐—พ๐˜‚๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป: think back over the last 5 years. What's one thing you achieved that you just knew would make you significantly happier? Got it? Now be honest โ€” how long did that feeling actually last? ๐Ÿค”

For most of us, it fades faster than we'd like to admit. That's the hedonic treadmill โ€” happiness that spikes with a win, then quietly resets back to baseline.

But here's what doesn't fade: the deep sense of rightness you feel when you're being fully, unapologetically yourself. That's eudaimonic happiness โ€” and it's not random. It's the direct result of living in alignment with who you actually are.

This isn't a philosophy lesson. It's proof you can find in your own life, if you know where to look.

๐Ÿ‘‡ What's one moment in the last few years where you felt genuinely, deeply yourself โ€” not just excited, but right? Tell me below.

Happiness isn't a vague unachievable concept โ€” Its actually much more atainable than you think and a code you can actually crack.

Behind every StrongMindt course is the PERMAH model: Positive Emotions, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning and Purpose, Accomplishment, and Physical Health โ€” plus 2 components I believe are non-negotiable for real wellbeing: Authenticity and Self-Knowledge, and Workplace Wellness

That's the 8 building blocks of a happy, thriving life. 8 full courses - One roadmap toward a life that's uniquely yours โ€” not some unattainable idea of "perfectly happy."

And here's the part most people dont realise: happiness isn't a single decision you make once. It's a choice you keep making, on repeat, even after you've done the work.

Which of these 8 components do you feel is missing most in your life right now?
