📢 Announcement: Moja Chess Extravaganza 2026 – Local Organising Committee (LOC)

The Western Cape Chess Association (WCCA) is pleased to announce the formal constitution of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the Moja Chess Extravaganza 2026, scheduled to take place from 25–30 April 2026 in Cape Town.

The event is led by Moja Chess Solutions, with WCCA and the Cape Town Chess Federation supporting in an enabling and collaborative capacity.

Moja 2026 Local Organising Committee (LOC):
• LOC Chair / Tournament Director: Dr Jabulani Mokoena
• Provincial President (WCCA): Mr Reuben Salimu
• Host Region President (Cape Town Chess): Mr Llewelyn Louw
• Treasurer / Finance: Ms Esmerelda Cidraas
• Sponsorship Lead: Mr Burton van Staden
• Marketing & Media: Mr Thando Hlakula
• Accommodation, Meals & Transfers: Ms Marcelia Potgieter
• Logistics: Mr Ricardo Minnaar

Further updates will be shared with the province as key milestones are reached.
