What a performance from the Landlords!
Coming into today’s fixture, Kweneng FC had one thing on their minds — revenge. Earlier this season, Real Farmton Citizens FC announced themselves in the Orange Farm LFA Super League with a memorable 3-1 victory over Kweneng FC, a result that shocked many as Kweneng were competing for top honours alongside league leaders Junior Stars.
Today, they arrived hoping to settle the score.
Instead, the Landlords completed the double.
In a fiercely contested and entertaining encounter, Real Farmton Citizens FC displayed tremendous character, quality and determination to secure a hard-fought 4-2 victory and continue their impressive debut season in the Super League.
⭐ Man of the Match
🏆 Tshoolo Kgotso Mokoena (KG) delivered a commanding performance throughout the match and was deservedly named Man of the Match.
⚽ Goal Scorers
🔥 Katleho “Molly” Matlatsi produced a brilliant display and grabbed a well-deserved brace.
🔥 Tshepo Nkutha, our hardworking and energetic winger, added the third goal after another tireless performance down the flank.
🔥 Vusimuzi Mahlangu came off the bench and made an immediate impact, scoring the decisive fourth goal that sealed the victory and shattered Kweneng FC’s ambitions of closing the gap at the top of the table.
🎙️ Coach’s Remarks
Head Coach, Sir Cengimbo expressed his delight with the team’s performance, praising the players for their fighting spirit, commitment and determination throughout the ninety minutes.
“The boys showed great character today. We knew Kweneng would come motivated after our first meeting, but the team remained disciplined, fought for every ball and showed the winning mentality we are building at this club. I’m proud of the effort and togetherness displayed by the squad.”
As newcomers to the league, Real Farmton Citizens FC continues to send a strong message across Orange Farm football. This team is not here to make up the numbers — it is here to compete, challenge and build a winning legacy.
