History was made in Osizweni, Newcastle!

Proudly hosted by Zithuthukise Primary School, Amajuba District Esports launched our FIRST EVER Primary Schools Esports Tournament in Newcastle. Young gamers from different schools across Osizweni brought their A-game, showing incredible teamwork, digital skills, and sportsmanship.

- Esports Showcase: We demoed top titles like FC 26 and Tekken on big screens. Learners were BLOWN AWAY by the immersive gameplay!
- Inspiring the Next Generation, we shared insights on esports careers, from pro gaming to content creation. Future game changers were born totoday
- School League Prep: Interested students signed up for upcoming trials to represent Ndabanhle in regional esports tournaments. The hunt for gaming stars is ON!

BREAKING BARRIERS: AMAJUBA DISTRICT ESPORTS ACTIVATION EMPOWERS SPECIAL NEEDS COMMUNITY

In a groundbreaking initiative, the Amajuba District Esports Committee, in collaboration with the Department of Sports, Art and Culture and Nation Builders Foundation, hosted a trailblazing esports activation event at Bumbisizwe LSEN School in Madadeni township. This pioneering effort aimed to introduce the inclusive world of esports to learners living with disabilities, promoting equality, accessibility, and empowerment.

UNLOCKING POTENTIAL

On the 24th Of October 2024, the vibrant campus of Bumbisizwe LSEN School transformed into a hub of excitement and competition, as learners with special needs were immersed in the dynamic realm of esports. Every participant had the opportunity to showcase their talents, fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie and sportsmanship. This activation demonstrated that esports transcends physical limitations, providing a platform for individuals with disabilities to engage, interact, and thrive.
