I'm a happy man after this weekends shoot in Bloemfontein South Africa. I was unable to shoot the Saturday but managed to shoot the Sunday. I had a rough start for the first 720 of the day but managed to shoot a 701 in the afternoon!! Thank you to all my sponsors & especially to my wife & kids. I have really had to travel a lot this year but have reached my goal.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first day of Nationals. I was relaxed but focused for most ends. It was hard work with a tricky wind to deal with, but I dealt with it with confidence, knowing that I shoot a neat little bow and good arrows. After lunch I struggled to get my concentration back, but I did and shot a personal best on 30m. That means that I broke my own record and am pleased with the total record as well... unexpected with the tricky wind. Medal and trophy presentation will only be on Monday after eliminations.
