From a 13-year-old who thought rugby was “too rough”… to 50 Springbok caps.

Ox Nché wanted to be a footballer.

He didn’t attend one of South Africa’s famous rugby schools.

He only started playing rugby at 13 after a coach convinced the self-described “chubby kid” to give the game a try.

HTS Louis Botha → Shimlas → Cheetahs → Sharks → World Champion → 50 Springbok caps.

Not bad for someone who didn’t want to play rugby. 🇿🇦
