Tucked into the dramatic Witteberg mountains, starting at the Lady Grey Country Club, this is a race that gives as much as it takes.
You’ll run hard, climb higher — and then get wrapped in the small-town warmth only Lady Grey can offer.

The WMC 2026 offers a unique trail running experience with four race distances to suit all fitness levels — from a relaxed 5km fun run to the demanding 50km Ultimate Beast.

Participants can enjoy spectacular mountain scenery, diverse trail routes, a family-friendly atmosphere, great food, entertainment, and exciting prizes. This is more than a race — it’s a full mountain experience.

Today we didn’t just run the Witteberg — we carved a line through it.
50km of raw mountain terrain. Endless climbs. River crossings. High-altitude grasslands stretching to the horizon.

This was not race day.
This was exploration.
Plotting the route step by step, GPS locked, legs burning, hearts full — turning wild Witteberg lines into an ultra-distance challenge worthy of respect.

From remote valleys to exposed ridgelines, every kilometre reminded us why these mountains demand grit, humility, and a deep love for the trail.

The route is now mapped.
The challenge is real.
And the Witteberg is ready.
