The fish at Goedetrouw Dam grow big and strong, it's not a light line venture with 20 pound line not being overkill. If you have any monster baits locked up in your tackle boxes this is the dam to bring them out at. Fish in the 2.5kg to 3kg range are caught almost daily and the great thing is that there is very little activity on the dam during the week and most weekends, and you find yourself being the only boat on the water to dominate the best of the big bass Zululand waters have to offer. Bivane Dam is more popular with holidaymakers over weekends and holidays allowing watersport activities on the dam, and is ideally better to fish this dam during the week, when again you will find yourself being the only boat on the water, ideal fishing conditions! The fish at Bivane are not as ferocious as at Goedetrouw but offers varied sizes and some amazing surprises on good days! Offering good fun and some challanging times all in one day.
