Human in the Loop should refer to a human signing off on AI work.

Sounds great in principle.

🛑 The example of a school being identified as a military base and bombed, should show us that even with a human in the loop, things can go awry.

Are the humans in the loop actually in the loop or are they babysitting AI tools, signing off on solutions presented, without any thought?

My client was in tears.

Putting yourself in the shoes of your reports is a sign of an emotionally intelligent manager.

The way you would address an issue may not be the same way your report does.

If they’re overwhelmed, meet them where they are and work with them. Support them.

Seeing the human in the situation, the individual and the human emotions, is part of good leadership.

Hit follow if you’re struggling to connect with your direct reports.

I want to be led my them! 🙌🏻

It’s so simple yet so many leaders don’t realise that care is the most sought after trait.

People want you to be human. They want to feel like they matter and that their families matter and their problems matter.

Research has shown that not only are leaders who care perceived to be superior to their peers, they are also the most sought after by employees.

It doesn’t seem like a hard ask for a leader to be kind and caring does it? 🌸

Is AI going to turn the world into soldier robots that are going to obliterate the world and all of humanity? Or is it going to help us improve our lives?🤔

Yes AI is very scary. We have no idea, it’s totally unknown. And as humans we don’t like change and we don’t like not knowing the very next step. And the very next step is changing on a daily basis.

It feels like we can never get ahead there’s always something new coming out and it is overwhelming.

But the gift that AI has for us is time. What would you do with more time?

AI can free up time for you to be more creative, to spend more time with your family, to have more self-care time. Perhaps AI is here to help us more than it is to harm us. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Time will tell. But there are big things coming and I’m here for it. 🌸

🙋🏼‍♀️ Humans are pressed to change when new tools are developed.

BUT

We don’t like change.

Why are the people sitting down and waiting?

AI is simply a new shiny tool to assist humans to do better and make our lives easier.

We’re living through a very exciting chapter right now because it’s just starting.

But as leaders, we need to take the first step and learn the basics.

❌ not coding and building apps!

Unless of course you want to.

Be open to trial and error.

And always remember that AI doesn’t replace humans, it helps humans work more efficiently.

This is a harsh example of how humans, blindly trusting a tool, can literally cause deaths of humans - this is not what Al was designed for....

BUT

With Al advancing rapidly, it is shocking to see how quickly humans have started to ‘phone it in.’ Why make decisions when Al can do it?

It’s right there in the name ARTIFICIAL. It cannot recreate a human. We still need to double check what is being spewed out.

The response from this AI showed that it had been programmed with empathetic and ethical code which is a positive, but it also shows how humans are blindly following Al results without putting in the required due diligence, thought and human-ness that is required.

Is Al dumbing-down the human race? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Value is placed on where you are.

Yes I’m a multimillionaire in Vietnamese D**g but I also feel like I’m wealthy and it’s not related to the currency I’m holding.

Put yourself in rooms where your value is appreciated, your opinion valued and respected.

Staying in an environment where you know you’re not valued, can start to wear away at your self worth. Make sure you’re in more places that value you, than don’t.

When you believe in yourself, it won’t take long for others to do the same. 🌸
