Stellenbosch FC have officially confirmed a lengthy list of departures ahead of the 2026/27 season as the club begins reshaping its squad following another demanding domestic and continental campaign.
The Cape Winelands outfit announced on Thursday that several players will leave the club following the expiry of their contracts and loan agreements, while veteran goalkeeper Lee Langeveldt has transitioned into a coaching role after confirming his retirement earlier this month, as confirmed by the club.
Langeveldt, who has been one of the senior figures in the Stellies dressing room, will now continue his journey with the club as goalkeeper coach for the Youth Academy, Reserve side and Ladies teams.
Fellow goalkeepers Oscarine Masuluke and Dejean Ah Shene are also among those leaving after their contracts were not renewed, with the club having also confirmed the exits of Thabo Moloisane and Athenkosi Mcaba.
They will be joined on the way out by Nigeria international Kazie Enyinnaya, experienced defender Wayde Jooste, ex-Orlando Pirates centre-back Olisa Ndah and Khomotjo Lekoloane.
Stellenbosch will also part ways with Tshegofatso Mabasa, Asekho Tiwani and Kobamelo Kodisang following the conclusion of their respective loan spells.
There was also confirmation that development graduate Kyle Jurgens has completed a permanent move to Durban City after the Nedbank Cup champions exercised an option in his loan agreement.
Despite the large number of exits, the overhaul is expected to form part of Stellenbosch’s planning for the new season as the club looks to remain competitive both domestically and on the continent.
“The Club extends its heartfelt gratitude to all of the departing players for their services to Stellenbosch FC and wishes them every success in their future endeavours,” the club said in a statement.
