Three Cranes ‘24 done and dusted.

What an amazing day it was. It was a tough route at times but everyone had a blast.

With just one 100 runners, the race was a huge success. Thank you to Karkloof Canopy Tours Kai for hosting it, your ongoing support of the Conservancy is really amazing. Fairfield dairy for the chocolate milks that the runners love. To all the farmers whose properties we traversed across - Thank you, without your support there would be no event. Rockwood Lodges

RACE UPDATE****** RACE UPDATE*******RACE UPDATE **********

On behalf of the Three Cranes and Karkloof Conservancy committee, we would like to inform you that the Three Cranes challenge, nl. the 2 day, 3 day and ULTRA has been cancelled this year due to unforeseen logistical circumstances beyond our control. The 25km is still going ahead and we are adding a 15km for those of you that don’t want to go to the top of the mountain.

As organisers of this event, our main focus is to provide a memorable, safe, exciting race for you, something you will always remember. We have deliberated long and hard about it but have decided that it is in the best interest of everyone concerned to cancel the long distance races.

The Three Cranes Challenge is now in its 14th year and was started by the local farmers to raise funds and awareness for the three crane species that are found in the Karkloof, so to cancel this year has been a huge decision for us. We are, however, still going ahead with the 25km race and adding a 15km race, which will still go through the beautiful forests and grasslands and still be as amazing as ever.

If you have entered, you will have received a letter from us already, so please don't panic. We can either give you a refund or defer your entry to next year and you can also still enter the 25km or 15km race.

We would like to thank you for entering and supporting the Three Cranes Challenge and are deeply saddened to have to cancel the race this year, please accept our sincere apologies once again for any inconvenience this may create for you.

We would love to see you next year, so please keep us in mind when you are planning your runs. It is going to be even better than before.
