Footprints for the Future 👣🌊

This Youth Day, join us for a morning of movement, community and giving back 🙏

We'll be kicking things off with a choice of a 5km hike up to the Manganese Mines (an exciting part of Hout Bay's history), an easy 6km trail trot or an 8km trail run, before coming together for a community beach clean-up at Hout Bay Beach, powered by . If running or hiking isn't your thing, you're welcome to join us just for the clean-up, and grab a coffee down at

Tickets are a minimum R50 donation, with proceeds going to support Sentinel Ocean Alliance's youth programmes. A R100 donation willl also enter you into the prize giveaway, where you can stand a chance to win some awesome prizes that will leave you feeling like the most stylish and refreshed person on the trails 😎

Beach clean-up bags will be provided by Sealand. Feel free to bring gloves if you prefer.

Kids, dogs, friends and family are all welcome.

LLANDUDNO / SANDY BAY – THURSDAY 11 JUNE 2026 🐆

Winter vibes are officially here! Meet us at 17:30 for a 17:45 sharp start as we take on the coastal trails.

The forecast is looking like a misty 15°C pearler with some light showers expected, making for a moody, atmospheric run. We’ll be cruising along the Sandy Bay coastal path; keep an eye out for the BOS 400 shipwreck emerging through the mist 🌅

We’ll have our usual four pace groups heading out:
🚀 Energetic
🏃‍♂️ Steady
🐢 Comfy
🚶‍♀️ Relaxed (the hiking group)

SAFETY FIRST: Headlamps are NB! The mist and the early winter darkness mean visibility is key to a safe mission and no rolled ankles. Please also be mindful of residents and carpool where possible as parking is limited 🚗

Post-run tunes and refreshments will be provided by the legends at , , and . 🍻

🐆 East Fort & Chapman’s Peak | Thursday Trail Run - June 4, 17:30 for a 17:45 start 🐆

We’re heading to the historic slopes of Chapman’s Peak this week for a dose of coastal single-track and some signature Hout Bay/Sentinel views 🌅

The forecast is looking prime for a brisk winter mission, mostly cloudy and around 15°C at the start. With a light breeze and low chance of rain, it’s the perfect set-up to get the legs moving without breaking too much of a sweat☁️🌡️

Did you know? 🏰
We’ll be running through a piece of history. East Fort is considered the oldest operating gun battery in the world! Built in 1782, its cannons successfully defended the bay from the British back in 1795. Keep an eye out for the blockhouse ruins and restored cannons as we navigate the contour paths above the drive.

A massive shout-out to local trail legend .mccann for her incredible victory at the MaXi-Race 100k in France recently! 🏆 Closer to home, the energy is building fast for the 99th Comrades Marathon this Sunday. Good luck to any Leopards heading to KZN for the Up Run! 💪 Huge ups as well to everyone that took part at MUT this past weekend, it was inspiring to see you all out there 🫶

The sunset season is well and truly here (and just about behind us for the next couple months) 🌅 Forecast for this Thursday is looking like a crisp 17°C with some cloud cover ☁️. Since the sun dips at 17:58, we’ll be chasing the twilight from the get go - HEADLAMPS ARE NB for everyone’s safety and to avoid any rolled ankles! 🔦

The trail world has been buzzing lately - massive respect to Rachel Entrekin, who became the first woman to win the Cocodona 250 outright last week, shattering the (overall) course record in the process 💥

As always, we have four pace groups so no one gets left behind:

⚡️ Energetic (9-10km)

💪 Steady (7-8km)

🤝 Comfy (5-6km)

🐚 Relaxed (4km - walk/catch up pace)

If you’ve been on the fence or new to trail runningz this is your sign to join us! It's a flat, runnable route and a perfect mid-week reset with the crew 🐆✨

Headlamps are NB for this route as it is getting dark early and it is a super technical route, especially for Steady and Energetic 🔦

Happy May everyone! 🍁🐆

With days getting shorter, headlamps are highly recommended for our Tuesday morning Bakery Runs from and absolutely NB for our Thursday afternoon trail runs 🔦

Also this month is the Leopards weekend away in Rawsonville - just around the corner on the 15th which we can't wait for 👀🏕

We also have the crew day happening on the 30th, as well as a few runners lining up for the ⛰️

This Thursday, we're exploring the East Fort trails along some rocky, coastal sunset scenes, 17:45 for a 18:00 start 🌄🐆

Headlamps are absolutely NB at this stage with our runs ending in the pitch dark, so please make a plan before hand 🙏 if you do not have a torch, we would encourage you to please join the relaxed group so that there is less of a safety hazard 🔦

Big ups and well done to all the athletes that ran at the crew day this past Saturday, with another 10 slots in the final being claimed 🫡

Please start to bring headlamps - it's getting dark out there, especially with the tree coverage at the Nek 👀

We'll be joined by .sports.accessories again this week, and they'll be handing out our long-anticipated guide shirts and bringing with some of their cargo belts and merch for you to try out on the trails 🏃‍♂️
