This is a good example of why you need to be cautious about using AI, as this actually poor advice.
One of my runners doing the Cape Town marathon on Sunday, was looking at ChatGPT for carb advice for his weight in the days before the marathon.
A lot of the stuff on this list provided by ChatGPT is high GI simple carb stuff like energy bars, buns or muffins, white toast, Marie biscuits, energy drinks, and fruit juice, when we actually want complex low GI carbs in the days before the race from foods such as veggies and potatoes.
Basically a lot of this is junk calories and sugars that spikes blood sugar levels, that I wouldn't touch. During a marathon some of this could be used, but not before.
This is like the poor carbo-loading that we did back in the 1980s, when we didn't know better.
