We are incredibly excited to welcome you all back to Le Godimo and, most importantly, to see horses and riders back in our arenas again!
Please see the attached programme, which includes the approximate times for the day. We will also share the programme on our page for easy reference.
The times are intended as a guide, so please allow some flexibility throughout the day. If you notice any corrections or changes that need to be made, please don't hesitate to let us know.
Most importantly, our aim for the day is to make sure that every horse and rider combination leaves Le Godimo having had a positive and enjoyable experience. We appreciate that this is our first event back, and we're learning and finding our feet again too!
☕ Catering will be available on the day, so please come hungry and support our local vendors.
Thank you once again for choosing to support Le Godimo Horse Trials as we make our return to the eventing community. We genuinely cannot wait to see you all, catch up with familiar faces, meet new ones, and have horses back out doing what they love.

Winter Classics weekend is almost here… and we thought, why not make the most of it?!
With our Winter Classics happening this weekend, we’re opening up the Le Godimo Cross-Country tracks for an Open Day!
Whether you haven't been around our tracks in a while and want to reacquaint yourself with the jumps, or you're simply looking for an opportunity to get some extra training in — we'd love to see you out there.
And for everyone competing in the Winter Classics… this one's on us!
- Winter Classics competitors: XC access at no additional fee as a little bonus for entering our show.
- Non-competitors: R150 per horse.
This is a great opportunity to get out, pop some fences and familiarise yourself (and your horse!) with the Le Godimo tracks ahead of our return to Eventing.

Please note: Our water complex will unfortunately be without water and the ground will not be aerated for this Open Day.
For everyone's safety, correct riding attire and tack are required.
So, who's coming to stretch their legs on the XC? 👀
We can't wait to see horses and riders back out on the tracks again!

IT'S OFFICIAL... WE'RE SHAKING OFF THE DUST!

After so many conversations, comments, messages, and plenty of excitement from our amazing equestrian community, we're delighted to announce that Le Godimo Horse Trials will be hosting a Winter Classics on Saturday, 5 September 2026! ❄️🏇

This event is all about getting back together, giving horses valuable mileage, and having a fantastic day out before our One Day Event on 31 October.

Whether you're introducing a young horse to competition, bringing one back into the ring, or simply looking for a fun day of jumping, we'd love to see you there!

Here's everything you need to know:

Please note: Entries are strictly first come, first served. If space allows, we'll happily accept entries on the day at an increased fee, but only if time permits—so don't leave it until the last minute!

❄️🐴 Winter Classics at Le Godimo... What do you think? 🐴❄️
After spending the weekend helping out at the Inanda Country Base Winter Classics, we couldn't help but start thinking...
Should Le Godimo Horse Trials host a Winter Classic this September? 👀
Hear us out...
It would be the perfect warm-up before our One Day Event on 31 October. Whether you've got a young horse needing a positive outing, you're bringing a horse back into work, or you simply want a fun day of jumping without the full three phases, a Winter Classic could be just the thing!
We're thinking classes from 55cm to 95cm... and maybe even a 1 class* if you're convincing enough. 😉
It would also be a fantastic chance to dust off the competition nerves, let your horse gain valuable mileage, and (for those who haven't visited us in a while) come and reacquaint yourselves with Le Godimo before Eventing season kicks into full swing.
But before we start planning... We want to hear from YOU!

🐾 IMPORTANT NOTICE – NO DOGS ALLOWED 🐾

As we prepare for our One Day Event on 31 October, we would like to remind all competitors, owners, grooms, and spectators that NO DOGS will be permitted on the Le Godimo Horse Trials property during the event.

While we normally love welcoming dogs to the farm, this rule has been implemented for the safety of everyone involved.

Le Godimo is home to a variety of wildlife, and some animals do not react well to dogs. In addition, sections of the cross-country course run through areas of thick bush where loose dogs can easily become lost, encounter wildlife, or create dangerous situations for horses and riders on course.

For the safety of your dogs, our competitors, and their horses, we ask that all dogs remain at home on event day.

🚫 No dogs will be allowed onto the property.
🚫 No exceptions will be made.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We look forward to welcoming you to Le Godimo Horse Trials for a fantastic day of eventing.

And we're delighted to confirm that the answer is... ✨ YES! ✨
Le Godimo Horse Trials will be hosting our first Eventing show back on 31 October 2026, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome competitors, supporters, and old friends back to our venue.
The countdown has officially begun. Our team is hard at work preparing the tracks, arenas, and facilities to ensure an unforgettable day of eventing.

A little birdie told us that someone misses the old scoreboards...

And honestly? So do we!

Before live scoring apps, online results, and refreshing your phone every five minutes, there was *the scoreboard*.

The place where competitors, parents, trainers, and supporters would gather throughout the day, eagerly waiting for the latest scores to be written up. Some walked away grinning from ear to ear, while others started planning how they could shave a few penalties off next time.

These old chalk scoreboards were at the mercy of the wind, rain, dust, and occasionally a well-meaning person who accidentally smudged a result! Yet somehow, they became the heart of every event.

Seeing this photo takes us right back to those days.

Le Godimo Horse Trials is officially approved as a Show Holding Body for Dressage South Africa — and we couldn’t be more excited! 💃🐴
That means we’re now proudly registered with three equestrian associations, and ready to bring you even more of what we all love:
