Grabouw Rugby Football Club was founded in 1992 through the amalgamation of two clubs namely Black Spurs RFC and Perseverance RFC. This year will mark our 25th year of existence and we currently participate in the Boland Rugby Union’s “Grootuitdaag” Overberg competition. Our mission is to promote rugby in the community by fostering an environment of teamwork, respect, discipline and camaraderie. We aspire to create a framework for achieving excellence for both our players and coaching staff. We hold in high esteem our sport, its values and traditions and emphasize to our players the importance of experiencing and enjoying the culture of rugby. We encourage our players, coaches, management and supporters to cooperate and respect the traditions of our institution; to uphold its core values and to nurture our rugby, so that it becomes an instrument not just to develop our youth, but ourselves, by teaching us humility and integrity; strengthening our character and shaping our community.

Van 11de plek verlede jaar, met relegasie wat vir ons ’n werklikheid was, tot ’n 5de plek aan die einde van hierdie jaar. 🏉🖤💛🤍

Verlede jaar moes ons ’n uitspeelwedstryd speel om te bepaal of ons bly of gly — en ons het dit reggekry. Van daar af het ons aangehou bou, aanhou glo en aangehou baklei.

Hierdie 5de plek is nie net ’n posisie op ’n log nie. Dit verteenwoordig die harde werk, opofferings, teleurstellings, oorwinnings en die mense wat deur alles saamgestaan het.

Baie dankie aan elke speler, afrigter, bestuurspersoon, ondersteuner, borg en elke persoon wat op enige manier deel was van hierdie seisoen. Sonder julle sou dit nie moontlik gewees het nie.

Van 11de, amper relegasie, tot 5de. Wat ’n reis. 💛🤍🖤

Trots op elkeen wat deel was hiervan. Die beste lê nog voor.
