Pniel Kings still remains at the pinnacle after four bonus point victories in their respective four matches. Static Sunrises slots into our second log position after securing their third bonus point victory of the campaign. Defending champions, Caribbean Kings slots down to third place with a game in hand over the rest of the top 4, whilst Predators rounds up our top 4.

After five rounds and absolute brilliance with bat in hand, the 𝐓𝐎𝐏 𝐑𝐔𝐍𝐒 𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐑 category remains unchanged with the Pniel Kings players still dominating this category as it's captain, Zemile Adams leads the charge, with openers, Cole van Rooyen and Herschelle van Rhyn rounding up our top two and three respectively.

Our 𝐓𝐎𝐏 𝐖𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐄𝐓 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐑 category sees Static Sunrises captain, Charl Juries extend his lead in first place whilst Henry Williams of Pniel Kings remains in second place. We welcome a new name to the top 3 as Javaldo Collins of Crease Hunters slots into third after a bowling master class in their victory against Stallions.

Our 𝐁𝐈𝐆 𝐁𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐄𝐑 category sees no changes to the top 3 as Pniel Kings captain, Zemile Adams maintain his unassailable lead for yet another week, whilst fellow Pniel Kings playmaker, Julio Meyer remains in second for another week. Concluding our top 3 is the Crease Hunters stalwart, Warren Collins.

The wait is finally over, this coming Sunday 06 of October we will play our first match in this year's FSL5 tournament.

With a fantastic positive attitude on the training field, the boys are hungry and incredibly eager to play on Sunday.

The wait is almost over, as the league will officially begin on the 29th of September 2024.

We are proud to officially announce our squad for the 2024 season. Leading from the front and serving us this season our captain, Elceno Roos and his partner in crime our co-captain, the power hitter William Juries. We have announced a 18 men squad, with four new players joining us this year.

Keene plays for the Static Sunrises Cricket Club franchise in the FSL. Apart from being an absolute force to be reckoned with ball in hand, he is also a rising star in the rugby fraternity with his crucial decision-making on the field, kicking prowess and his ability to dance around opponents.

These attributes, hard work, and perseverance have ultimately led to Keene being called up to the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) Varsity Shield squad. Keene debuts for CPUT later today against the University of Fort Hare.

Greetings everyone!

We were under a lot of pressure going into this game, so we won the toss and elected to bowl first.We got off to a great start, with our pacemen Nichol Williams,Ezra Hoffman and Keenie Munnick spearheading the front-end attack and some great fielding mostly the man behind the wickets Emile Krotz. Lanquedoc Bulldocs 20 overs saw them score 142, and our boys were under pressure because we needed to win with a bonus point and to reach that target it must be under 12 overs.

Our batting innings got off to a great start,and we were in complete control from the outset thanks to a century-plus partnership in the powerplay between our Captain Elceno Roos and Charl Juries, the club's highest first wicket partnership.

Our Captain was playing the innings of his life with an unbeaten 111, and we managed to chase the score down in 8.3 overs.And we are able to move up to second place by earning the bonus point.

Thanks to our boys for making this possible, our conference booster was our new kit.🙌

Both Wydkyk Blitz and La Motte Rebels are competing in two large classes this weekend for a semi-final spot,and if one of them wants to qualify, they must win with a bonus point to overtake Static Sunrises and quality for the knockout.

Lanquedoc Bulldocs vs Static Sunrises :"15h00" [Cyprus Park Wemmershoek]

As promised, we sat down with Static Sunrises captain, Elceno Roos to get a better understanding of his team's mental state before this weekend's crucial encounter against Lanquedoc Bulldocs which COULD possibly send them to the semi-finals based on the results of the remaining two other teams, Wydkyk Blitz and La Motte Rebels.

1. Your team's semi-finals' hopes depend on your match against Lanquedoc Bulldocs. What's the feel like inside the Static Sunrises camp ahead of this CRUCIAL match?

Elceno: It's nerve-wracking to be in the Sunrises camp, and we'll never underestimate Bulldocs. We've had two unfortunate losses and matches we should've won, but we're holding ourselves accountable for those losses. We, however, will do our utmost as a team and do the best we can on Sunday.

2. What would you have done differently as a team this season?

Elceno: Our decision-making didn't quite work for us this season, we were used to chasing a score, as it was a tried and tested method since last season and unfortunately wasn't to be this season. From my point of view, it's too late to change the team dynamics now given the circumstances.

3. What's the expectation as captain of the team from the team players, and are there any notable team injuries and/or changes?

Elceno: My expectation would be for the team to give their best, win, and secure the much needed bonus point victory in order to boost our semi-finals' qualification hopes. In terms of injuries, we're fortunate to have none, we'll however have two changes for the match and will adapt as time progresses.

First of all a big congratulations to the Springboks winning the Rugby World Cup for the fourth time.👏🏆🇿🇦

We had a big class this past Sunday against Wydkyk Blitz; we needed to win to be safe. However, the boys from Bohoek had other ideas. Led by our former player Algunen Boonzaaier, they made history by betting us for the first time ever.

A big congratulations to Wydkyk Blitz and thanks for a awesome game.👏🙏

What a Big class it was!

After winning the toss, we put the LaMotte Rebels in to bat.We bowled brilliantly until the 12th over, at which point the Rebels began to adjust and managed to finish with a score of 162 all out.In his first game back, speedster Ezra Hoffman and captain Elceno Roos bowled wonderfully picking up big wickets.As we secured a big win over last year's runners-up LaMotte Rebels our first win over them in three years , LaMotte managers to picked up the hero of the first match Charl Juries very early in the game.However, we also had an amazing cool headed batting performance by our Captain Elceno Roos , who knocked 66 and a brilliant match-winning partnership by the birthday boy Wayden Fisher and Emile Krotz.

Wayden Fisher and Emile Krotz were awarded the man of the match performance Award.👏

Huge Congratulations to Elceno Roos, Keenie Munnick,Emile Krotz,and Mogamat Carelse of the LaMotte Rebels for being named players of the day alongside our former player Algunen Boonzaaier and his Wydkyk Blitz teammate Showen Engelbrecht.
