So proud of Mzo. He has also been selected to represent South Africa at the African Rowing Beach Sprint Championships 28/29 Oct. His home maybe humble but it’s spotless and his Mum is clearly very proud of her hard working son.

Remember Anga and his dream of being an Olympian? Well in the last year he has grown. Stick thin and tall and he never stopped practicing. We are proud to say that he has been selected to represent his country at African Rowing Beach Sprint Championships. Competing against 12 (so far) other countries.

But let me tell you a story about Anga.

At the Buffalo City Beach Anga made it into the Bronze medal final. Alot of the boys he was competing against have never struggled with where the next meal was coming from. After his Semi it was clear Anga wasn’t feeling well. He hadn’t had breakfast. We organised him some breakfast before his bronze medal final and and an invigorated Anga went on to win and then we heard that he had been selected South Africa.

We dug a little deeper to find out why he hadn’t eaten because we had organised breakfast and it turns out that he had put his team ahead of himself and he had let everyone else eat first and when it came to his turn there was none left.

Not only is he a great athlete but it turns out his heart is also amazing.

Anga we are so proud of you
