Opportunity: Retail Shop Manager

The Craft + Design Institute (CDI) requires the services of a skilled and innovative Retail Shop Manager with strong sales management and retail skills, together with a keen interest in implementing an entrepreneurial driven approach to sales and ecommerce.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing the sourcing and procurement of stock for the Watershed Shop and other orders
Manage all human resourcing at all CDI-linked shops
Carrying out the mechandising of stock at the shops
Oversee e-commerce order fulfilment at the CDI’s Watershed stores
Managing all sales and other reporting required

You will need:

A relevant tertiary education in sales or retail management with at least 3 – 5 years relevant working experience
Strong leadership, organisation and customer service skills
A working understanding of financial management
Effective problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
Experience in inventory management and e-commerce experience
Be a good team player and be able to work with a multi-cultural staff compliment
Understanding of the craft and design sector will be an added advantage
