🚨🎙️| Fermín: “I’ve always liked the No. 𝟕, and some of Barça’s greatest players have worn it. When it became available, I asked for it and I’m very happy to wear it.
I was a little sad to leave No. 𝟏𝟔 because it meant a lot to me, but I’m sure it will be in good hands (laughs)” [diariARA] 😅
🚨🎙️| Fermín: “Who will fill in for Lewandowski and Ferran's goals and play there? I don’t know, but Gordon can also play as a centre-forward. Dani Olmo, Raphinha and I can play there too. If more players arrive, we’ll see, but we already have plenty of players capable of scoring. I can adapt to playing as a FALSE 9. I played there a lot in La Masia, and it’s a position similar to my favourite role, attacking midfield.” 👀
🚨🎙️| Fermín: “Do I like Julian Alvarez as our CF option? I like him, he’s a great player, but ultimately he’s an Atlético Madrid player, so I can’t say much more about him. I can only say that, in our squad and the way we play, I think he would fit in very well.”
🚨🎙️| Fermín: “Rodri? He is a great player — a Ballon d’Or winner and a world champion. I have him as a teammate with Spain, and for me he’s the best defensive midfielder in the world. He’ll give us a lot.” 🔥
🚨🎙️| Fermín: “My relationship with Flick is very good. Since he arrived, he’s helped me a lot both personally and football-wise.
One piece of advice from him that has really helped me? I’m very demanding of myself mentally, and when I miss a pass or make a mistake, I tend to dwell on it. Flick tells me that football moves very quickly and you can’t get stuck on a mistake, you have to focus on the next action. That advice has helped me improve a lot.”
🚨🎙️| Fermín, on Ferran Torres leaving for PSG: “These are personal decisions and I don’t have all the information, but for me it’s a shame because he was a great teammate and a good player. I wish him all the best.
Did I try to convince him to stay? I messaged him when he left to say goodbye. I don't need to be convincing him. It was his personal decision, and I’m happy as long as he’s happy.”
🚨🎙️| Fermín: “I’m kind of two different people. Off the pitch, I’m calmer, but once I step onto the field, I become much more competitive. It comes naturally to me. I also think it’s good to celebrate goals with that intensity, whether they’re mine or my teammates’. In the end, they’re Barça goals.”
🚨🎙️| Fermín: “When you’re injured, you learn a lot. You feel very alone and isolated, and that makes you appreciate everyday life in a way you often don’t when you’re healthy. That’s probably the biggest lesson I’ve taken from these months. Now I’m really looking forward to doing what I love again.
Have I ever sought help mentally? I’ve had psychological support before and it helps me a lot. Even when things are going well, there are always areas to improve. These past few months have been difficult, so I needed more sessions to help me get through that difficult period.”
🚨🎙️| Fermín: “Do I use social media? The truth is that I use it a lot, especially TikTok, because it's very addictive.” 😂
