Coligny Boxing Club Championship Report 🥊

Coligny Boxing Club proudly participated in the Ngaka Modiri Molema District Championship, a successful event following the earlier postponement of the 28 March tournament. The championship brought together 7 clubs across the district, with over 30 boxers competing at a very high and competitive level.

Our club was represented by 8 boxers — 4 Youth & Elite and 4 Cadets & Juniors — all of whom showed great courage, discipline, and determination in the ring. It was a very tough championship, with the standard of competition reflecting the demands of provincial-level boxing.

Unfortunately, 4 of our Youth & Elite boxers did not make it into the final district team that will represent the district in the upcoming tournament at Philemon Masinga Stadium in Klerksdorp. However, we remain incredibly proud of their performance and fighting spirit.

A special mention goes to Mbulelo Kgomongwe, among others, who displayed exceptional resilience and adaptability throughout the tournament — a true reflection of what Coligny Boxing Club stands for.

We would like to encourage all our boxers to remain focused and continue working hard. This is not the end, but part of the journey. Greater opportunities lie ahead, and we believe our boxers can come back stronger in upcoming tournaments.

To the Coligny community, your continued support means everything to us. Let us stand behind our athletes as they grow and strive for excellence. Together, we can build champions.

🥊 Coligny Boxing Club Update 🥊

What was supposed to be a District Championship turned into something just as powerful! 💪

Due to heavy rain, we couldn’t transport the boxing ring—but that didn’t stop us. Instead, we hosted a Boxing Clinic for the Ditsobotla community, where our boxers showcased their skills through drills and pad work 🔥

This gave our coaches a great chance to assess fitness, readiness, and performance as we prepare to select a team to represent Ngaka Modiri Molema at the Provincial Championships in Klerksdorp on 25 April 2026.
