💪🏻🧠 If you want to become EMOTIONALLY STRONG, work to build these 5️⃣ habits:

1. Know who YOU are so you can trust yourself - this means you have confidence in YOU, your emotions, your feelings, your thoughts, your choices, your boundaries, etc
2. Learn how to recognise and pay attention to your emotions so you can control where you direct your attention.
3. Know your 5️⃣ CORE values (not need(ines)s or feelings) to make wise decisions and live alligned with what is important to you.
4. Learn how to set healthy boundaries, when you know YOU and your CORE values, you will know what boundaries to set and enforce.
5. Learn what is SELF-COMPASSION
and practice compassionate self-talk.
You need your own kindness to love, accept and support yourself and not need it from others, always feeling invalidated.

Working on these 5️⃣ habits with me, will help you develop the strength and resilience to bounce back from adversities.

We need an integrative holistic approach to address AD(H)D which means we have to look at healthy eating & supplements (no nutritional deficiencies), healthy lifestyle habits (screen time, exercise, sunlight, etc) healthy connections (nurturing relationships, communication skills, mindfulness (relaxation and self regulation skills), mindful discipline to guide & teach children rather than punish, and then off course professional intervention on a therapeutic and/or prescription medicine level.

And a lot more, but for now, this is what I think …

It takes a village to raise a child, and what a beautiful village I met at Nicoles baby shower on Saturday - all ready to welcome baby P with loads of love and support to this world.

It was my honour to speak about raising our children, the importance of the first 7 years to prevent trauma, the importance of discipline, chores, teaching independence and so much more!

I wish I could share everything here!!

Congratulations on a gorgeous and vibrant event, I loved the orange and pink combo of the decor. And off course the cookies, true pieces of art!
