Because honestly… life is too short for just one kilometre! 😂 So we’re doing 5 km, and then we’re rewarding ourselves with a lekker breakfast afterwards. Because balance. 😉

No booking = no breakfast. We love you, but we cannot multiply eggs and bacon. 😂🍳

If you ran the 5km at the SPAR Ladies Race, chances are you heard us before you saw us. 😅🎉

Our WIF water point was less of a water station and more of a full-on street party! Music blasting, volunteers dancing, cheering louder than a rugby final, and enough Coke and water to keep everyone moving. We may or may not have scared a few runners with our enthusiasm… but hey, motivation comes in many forms! 😂💛

A massive THANK YOU to every single Worth It Foundation volunteer who showed up with big hearts, big smiles, and even bigger voices. You brought the energy, the laughter, and the gees!

And when the race was over? While everyone else headed home, our WIF family stayed behind and cleaned up like a well-oiled machine. No complaints, no disappearing acts… just sleeves rolled up and teamwork in action. 💪

We’re incredibly proud of this team. We know how to have fun, we know how to serve, and apparently… we know how to make a water point the loudest place on the route! 🥳💙💛

Until the next race… rest those voices! 📣😂

So stil-stil, sonder groot fanfare, het een van ons eerste Worth It klublede sy merk begin maak in Suid-Afrika.

As jy vandag na Marnus Laubscher kyk, sien jy dalk net die prestasie. Maar ons weet van die pyn, die terugslae en die dae toe hy moes hoor dat hy waarskynlik nooit weer sou hardloop nie.

Daar was beserings.
Daar was teleurstelling.
Daar was dae wat vasbyt seergekry het.
Dae van op sy tande kners.
Dae waar geloof die enigste ding was wat sterker as die pyn was.

Maar Marnus het gekies om nie sy storie deur sy omstandighede te laat skryf nie.

Hy het gekies om hard te werk.
Hy het gekies om aan te hou glo.
Hy het gekies om wonderwerke ’n kans te gee.

En Saterdag het dit vrugte afgewerp.

By die SA National Biathle/Triathle/Laser Run-kampioenskap het Marnus ’n ongelooflike 7de plek in Suid-Afrika behaal – en asof dit nie indrukwekkend genoeg is nie, was hy ook die jongste o.19-deelnemer in die kompetisie.

Ons is ongelooflik trots op jou, Marnus. Nie net oor die 7de plek nie, maar oor die mens wat jy is en jou groei terwyl jy daarheen gestap… en gehardloop… het.

*Nou ’n belangrike openbare boodskap:*
Kry sommer nou al sy handtekening! 😄
Oor ’n paar jaar gaan julle spyt wees as julle dit nie het nie – daai ding gaan teen veilingspryse verkoop word, en dan gaan ons almal sê: “Ons het hom geken”.

Baie geluk, Marnus! Dankie dat jy ons herinner dat wonderwerke nie altyd oornag gebeur nie. Soms trek hulle tekkies aan, werk ongelooflik hard en weier eenvoudig om op te gee.

Jy is ’n inspirasie. Ons is ongelooflik trots op jou, en ons kan nie wag om te sien wat God nog deur jou gaan doen nie. 🏃🏅❤️
