Why Beach Riding Kills Hub Motors (And Why Mid-Drives Win the Sand War) 🏖️🚲⚡

Since we started building electric fat bikes back in 2013, we’ve put virtually every motor configuration through real-world testing along South Africa's coastlines. 

After more than a decade of building and servicing e-fatties, one hard truth stands out: if you love riding on the beach, motor placement is everything.

Hub motors sit directly in the center of your wheel, just inches off the ground.
